We’re thrilled to announce the publication of the latest title in the Two Little Libros collection. This beautifully illustrated box of two 16 page board books by Mike Lowery is the second title in this collection. This time the box contains books which focus on two aspects of the human body: Body Parts and Move Your Body. As you may know from the previous set of Two Little Libros (Sea Animals and Jungle Animals), this fabulous collection is designed to teach young children basic vocabulary in Spanish and English, as well as reasoning skills.
You can find all the details here.
As always, this new title is available in our on-line shop and in bookshops throughout Spain.
We hope you love it as much as we do!

Though I share the ideas behind the creation this publishing company, and commend your initiative, I have to point out that you are going the wrong way with your choice of illustrations. You have chosen a style (i.e Mike Lowery’s) which is not attractive for smaller children (3-6) , precisely for publications that are aimed at younger children. That’s going to make it harder for you to sell these. This type of illustration is aimed at older children: 10-12. So you might want to carry out some (at least small) market research with a sample of people not related to you personally, regarding the illustrations, and see what other moms think. ¿Would they buy these for their toddlers, preschoolers, or would they prefer publications by Usborne, for example? (They have an illustrator which has some really cute characters for 3-6 year-olds).
Dear bilingualmom,
Thanks for your feedback, we really value your opinions.
As for our books (and, of course, the illustrations), we know they’re not the most traditional children’s books, but that is part of why we love them. Although we have received lots of passionate and excited feedback about our books (both during our previous market research and post-publication), we know everybody can’t love them. We respect and appreciate the work of other publishing companies and believe there’s enough room in the children’s book market for our books and for those published by more traditional publishing houses. The most important thing is that there are plenty of great books out there that will get children excited about reading. The fact that our books are doing that for many children in Spain is a huge honor and makes us excited about continuing to publish high quality bilingual books for kids. And who knows, maybe some of our other illustrators will end up winning you over at some point?
Thanks again,
Íñigo Gil
